The third Thursday of September has always been a special day for EMBC. Unofficially, it’s our official birthday, as we poured our first beer eight years ago today. Every year at EMAD, we celebrate our brewery’s past while giving big cheers to the future. After eight years, our best decision was stumbling on our original taproom in Eastern Market. Tonight, let’s party in the streets and celebrate the vibrant community we are lucky to call home.

Elephant & Co. is making Pickle Pizza, McClure's Pickles is giving out FREE pickles, and our DJ is spinning tunes all evening long. What a day!

3rd Annual Hot Dog Mile
Join us for the 3rd Annual Hot Dog Mile at Eastern Market Brewing!
The Hot Dog Mile is an annual event celebrating hot dogs and regular dogs, dreamed up by the runners of Eastern Market Brewing Run Club. Participants eat four dogs and run four 1/4 mile laps- it’s as simple as that! All proceeds after race costs are donated to Detroit Dog Rescue!
What is a hot dog mile?
It’s like a beer mile, but with hot dogs! 4 hot dogs, 4 quarter mile laps, hopefully no puking and some beers at the end. a great hang-out to support dogs, eat hot dogs, have some beers and enjoy a lovely Sunday at Eastern Market!
The race/hot dog celebration runs from 11-2, with three waves starts every 45 minutes. Choose your start time when registering.
Motor City Frank’s hot dogs will also be on site for spectators to grab a dog while they watch!
Additionally, this year we will be raffling off hot dog, running, and dog related items to raise additional funds to donate. Raffle tickets are included with both racer and spectator ticket packages, and additional tickets will be available for purchase at the event.
Optional Swag this year includes race sticker, race t-shirt and new this year- race day mugs! Purchase your hot dog mile mug and receive $1 off beer pours during the event!
